Elin Imponen or Elin Imbonen

Viesti Kirjoittaja Katie » 15.07.2011 03:05

I am trying to find the parents of the above name but have found two spellings of her last name.
I show Elin Mattsdotter Imponen born 23 Nov 1748 in Kemijarvi, Lappi however I do not show her as Imbonen.

In researching Hiski and Sukuhistoria I have found both Imponen and Imbonen in Kemijarvi and Kuusamo. I think I found a Matt Imbonen at this page ( http://www.sukuhistoria.fi/sshy/sivut_e ... 78&pnum=23 ) in Kemijarvi. Will you please review and see if you can find the mother and father of Elin and where they lived and if it lists siblings I would be interested to know also.
Thank You
Janice

Thank you so much, Leena, for your help. I was having a hard time trying to verify her.
I do have 2 questions for you based on the page you gave me:
http://www.digiarkisto.org/sshy/sivut/j ... 78&pnum=23

I believe that Lisa's mother's name is Margetha. Is her last name written on this page
And last of all the listing of the children, can you tell me the name that is written above Olaf. It would be the 5th name from Matt.
You did a good job on this, Leena. I appreciate your help.
Hope your weekend was warm and sunny.
Janice
