Last name of Kotajarvi-Maaninka 2nd Request

I have an ancestor Juho Kotajarvi who married a Valpuri Maaninka. He changed his name to Kotajarvi-Maaninka when he married her. They lived for many years, had many children and then Valpuri died. Juho remarried a Kaisa Leena Oikarainen and they had a boy. What would the last name be for Kaisa and her son. Would it be Kotajarvi? It wouldn't be Kotajarvi-Maaninka or Maaninka would it?

Would it be possible to tell me if a name change occurs when a spouse dies and the surviving spouse re-marries and has children. Does the name revert back to the original name.

Thank you, Risto, for your reply. I hope you did not spend too much time on it because it is not the information I am looking for. I already have that information, I am a descendent of the youngest child born in 1874, Olaf Maaninka. What I need to know is this. When Olaf's mother died his father re-married Kaisa Oikarainen and they had one child by the name of Antti Hermanni. I need the rule of passing on a last name when it's changed. Olaf's father's name was Johan Kotajarvi-Maaninka. He added the Maaninka name when he married his first wife. Now that his Maaninka wife is dead and he remarried and fathered a son, what would the last name of the son (Hermanni) be AND when he married the son's mother Kaisa what would be her married name. Would it be Kotajarvi-Maaninka or would it revert back to Kotajarvi? Was there a general rule of what happens to an altered male name in a first marriage when he married a 2nd time.
I will need to know the last name of Hemanni and Kaisa.

My guess is, that Kaisa was Oikarainen, because it says there that Kaisa Oikarainen died 1917 etc. so that should be her name after she married Juho.

In Northern Finland, the name that we assume to be a surname may change suddenly. If he marries again and moves to new place as a settler, for instance, he may appear with a new name that has no connection to the previous ones.

From my experience that is based on studies in Rovaniemi and elsewhere in Kemi river valley, you cannot predict the outcome, unless the man in question remains at the place where he lived for some years. I would expect that his name would be "Kotajärvi eli Maaninka" or something similar if he stays, but his children of the second marriage may make another selection (or the name convention is defined by the neighborhood).

Thank you all for your help, I appreciate it. It's hard, sometimes, to follow a person that changes their name when they marry and I was curious if there was a general rule of what people would do.
